Kitchen Remodels

Your kitchen is the heart of the home. It’s where holiday meals are prepared, late-night snacks are shared, and memories are made around the table.

For over 25 years, Keith Smith Construction has helped bring kitchens to life with a hands-on commitment to craftsmanship, passed down from Keith Smith to his sons. Today, that tradition continues under the leadership of Lori and Chris Smith, who carry forward Keith’s belief that honesty and careful attention should be at the center of every project.

Cabinets and Countertops Upgrades

Cabinetry sets the tone for your kitchen, either giving it a touch of warmth or a sleek, modern feel. We work with you to select custom or semi-custom cabinets that offer both the look you want and the storage you need. We can even act as our own vendor, giving us control of design, pricing, and streamlined delivery.

Here are some helpful elements to bear in mind:

  • Updating your cabinetry’s look, capacity, and functionality. If you have older, repainted cabinets that may be losing function from the  50s… Style outdated from the 90s…. But most of all, reconfiguring your kitchen, creating space and flow. Cabinetry adds a quiet, essential piece of the flow in your kitchen. Sometimes adding an island is a great move, and sometimes removing one really opens up the space the way a homeowner wants.

  • Consider the height and function of cabinetry when selecting knobs and handles. Certain designs with straight edges can snag on pants and clothes for knee-high cabinets. When that’s not a concern, cupped or even clamshell handles can combine aesthetics with ease of grabbing.

You can tuck refrigerators and trash cans away with front-facing designs that blend seamlessly into your cabinets. Open them when needed, and they disappear when they aren’t.

Kitchen Flooring That Withstands Life and Looks Great

Kitchens are high-traffic zones, but luckily you don’t have to choose between stylish and durable. From classic tile and natural stone to waterproof luxury vinyl planks and hardwood, we install floors that hold up to life while tying your space together beautifully.

  • Hardwood Flooring: Timeless and warm, but has a higher initial cost and requires more maintenance than other flooring materials. If you regularly clean your floors and don’t consider protective treatments an issue, hardwood can be ideal. (You can use pre-finished hardwood or unfinished, where your contractor will sand and stain to your color preference.)

  • Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and Laminate Flooring: Modern laminate resists water far better than it used to. LVP resists water even better, and both create a wooden floor look for lower cost and maintenance.

  • Tile Flooring: Tile is highly decorative, and depending on your cabinet and counter choices might be a perfect complement. It’s on par with hardwood in terms of initial cost, but is also very durable and holds up to wear very well over the years.

In terms of sturdiness under foot as you walk around, the general hierarchy would be linoleum/sheet vinyl → LVP → laminate → tile → hardwood.

Sinks, Faucets, and Functional Upgrades

Maybe you’ve wanted a bigger sink for years, or wanted to convert a dual sink setup into a larger basin design. You have just as much flexibility with faucet options, from pull-out sprayer designs to easy on/off paddle faucet levers. Reverse osmosis faucets filter water in-line, and can filter out smaller particles than typical filters.
